The Portrait Experience: Client is guaranteed up to 2 hours of shoot time for a portrait session with Ten·2·Ten Photography. Prior to the session the client will receive wardrobe, hair & makeup and posing coaching via email as well as have the opportunity to ask questions regarding styling. After the session, the clients will have the opportunity to view 1 sneak peek image shared online via Facebook (watermarked + photographers choice of image) as Ten·2·Ten Photography completes the edits. The cost of the portrait session includes the time and talent of the photographer as well as a personal ordering session; the cost of the portrait session does not include any images.

The Ordering Experience: Upon completion of the edits, Ten·2·Ten Photography will schedule a private viewing session of the images at their home office. Any questions you have regarding packages, products and payments will be answered and your order will be placed. Please ensure that any family members who want to place an order are present for the ordering session. There is no obligation to purchase; however, any images not purchased at the time of the ordering session will be purged from the system (see below).

Purging of Files: Ten·2·Ten Photography will keep a copy of all the files you have purchased for 12-months from the original session date. In order to maximize our digital storage space we do not store images that are not purchased. Any images that are not purchased at the ordering session will be immediately purged from the system.

Other Studio Policies

Reserving your Session Date - Clients with a Gift Voucher: Those reserving a session date and have a valid gift voucher are not required to place a monetary deposit to hold their date. Those booking a portrait session with a valid gift voucher, however, must acknowledge that the photographer will be foregoing other photographic jobs for the date and time frame above and that should the Client cancel or wish to reschedule their session (with less than 3 weeks notice), they are responsible for paying the current session fee amount as damages.

Cancellation (general): Client understands that by entering into this agreement, the Photographer is foregoing other photographic jobs for the date and time frame above. In event of cancellation or postponement of the session by the Client, the session fee amount paid to hold said date and time will become non-refundable. Deposits are transferable if a date chance is necessary due to weather restrictions. See below regarding weather policy.

Weather: As the forecasts have been known to change quickly, we never cancel a session based solely on the long-term forecast. Weather will be assessed 3 hours prior to the start time of the session and any decision regarding postponing due to weather will be made at that point. In the event that the Photographer cancels due to weather, the session will be rebooked for the earliest next available agreed upon date.

Rescheduling: The client may reschedule with no penalty when a minimum of 3 weeks written notice is given. Rescheduling with less notice than described above will result in the session fee amount paid acting as a non-refundable deposit.

Cooperation, Punctuality & No-Shows: Photographer is not responsible if the client and/or key individuals fail to appear or cooperate during a portrait session. In the event that the client and/or key individuals fail to appear or cooperate, the session fee paid to hold the date will act as a non-refundable deposit.

As multiple sessions are booked per day it is important that you arrive for your session on-time. We suggest arriving at the location 15 minutes prior to your start time in order to be ready to shoot at the start time of the session.
Should the Client fail to show for their session, the Photographer will wait at the agreed upon location for 20 minutes beyond the start time of the session. Should the client not show during this timeframe, the Photographer reserves the right to cancel the session. Those arriving late for a session will not have their session length extended.

Re-shoots: In the unlikely event that the images taken during a portrait session are unusable due to technical problems (ex: camera failure), the photographer will re-shoot at no additional charge. Re-shoots are not offered for any other circumstance.

Purchasing Prints & Digital Media – Deposit & Payment: A 50% retainer is due at the time of ordering. Payment methods accepted for product deposits include: email money transfer, cash or cheque. Client will be notified of their order completion via email and are must pick-up their final order within 5 business days of being notified. Remaining balance is due prior to or during product pick-up. Methods of payment for the remaining balance include email money transfer or cash.
Cheques are not accepted for final payment; however, those wishing to pay by cheque may choose to pay the order in full via cheque at the time they place the order.
Orders cannot be changed once placed.

Copyright & Model Release: Client acknowledges that copyright of any and all images/digital files are and shall remain the sole property of Photographer or its designee(s) and Photographer as well as any second shooter (professional or co-op) associated with Photographer who attends the event described above may use them for advertising, display or for any other purpose thought proper by Photographer and associates. Clients who purchase digital files will receive not only a high resolution copy but also a “For Online Use” copy that contains smaller, web-ready, watermarked images. Any images placed online must:
